BJP leaders in Maharashtra have lost their mental balance, in need of urgent treatment
When will action be taken against Atul Bhatkhalkar for insulting Atalji
Mumbai:Ever since the BJP has lost power in the state, the mental balance of BJP leaders in Maharashtra has deteriorated and they are in need of urgent treatment. The state BJP leaders who have so far insulted Maharashtra, have now started to disrespect their own senior leaders while trying to defame Maharashtra Vikas Aghadi government.
They have now gone so far as to insult former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee as well. BJP’s Atul Bhatkhalkar has demanded that all the Madrassas in the state should be closed down, by saying that he has gone against the Modi government’s slogan of ‘Sabka Vishwas” Was this slogan just a poll plank ? And so, the BJP national president J. P. Nadda and Maharashtra BJP President Chandrakant Patil should either say that the slogan of Modi’ was a sham or take action against Bhatkhalkar, said Sachin Sawant, Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee general secretary and spokesperson Sachin Sawant further said that Golwalkar still exists in the mind of every BJP worker and there is no doubt that that there are several double standards in BJP role.
It is well known that the party does not believe in the constitution of the country, but they do not believe in the constitution of their own party. Sawant said he should remove the word “secularism” from the party’s constitution. It would have been better if Atul Bhatkhalkar, who has demanded that madrassas in the state be shut down, should have consulted with his party senior leaders on their stand on the issue. On August 20, 2001, during Atal Behari Vajpayee’s government, the then HRD Minister Murli Manohar Joshi made it clear that Prime Minister Vajpayee had no intention of interfering in the affairs of madrasas. It was made clear that subjects like Science, Maths, Social Science and General knowledge should be taught as well.In February 2002, Joshi had said that the central government was providing grants to over a thousand madrassas.
It is surprising that BJP leaders are also insulting Vajpayee and they are not even respecting the role of Narendra Modi. When Narendra Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat, the BJP manifesto in the 2012 elections had promised to modernize madrassas. Besides, the BJP’s manifesto for the 2014 Lok Sabha elections also mentions the modernization of madrassas as their agenda twice. On June 11, 2019, Union Minister for Minority Development Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi had announced steps to modernize the madrassas by imparting training in Hindi, English, Mathematics, Science and Computer to the teachers of the madrassas. Narendra Modi had said that his vision for Muslim youth is Quran in one hand and computer in the other hand and had given the slogan of ‘Sab Ka Vishwas’. It is already clear that there are too many differences between Modi’s actions and his speeches that this declaration of ‘Sabka Vishwas’ is completely hollow. However, now
Bhatkhalkar’s statement further underlines that Modi’s ‘Sab Ka Vishwas’ is just a hollow slogan.Do National President J.P Nadda and state president Chandrakant Patil agree with the stand taken by Bhatkhalkar If so, they should accept that Modi’s ‘Sab Ka Vishwas’ is a hollow slogan or else action should be taken against Bhatkhalkars, said Sawant.Since losing power, the mental balance of BJP leaders has deteriorated. They are not worried that they by making baseless and false statements they are insulting the 13 crore people of Maharashtra, defaming the Mumbai police or supporting the person who calls Mumbai Pakistan, addressing her as the Queen of Jhansi, insulting the Queen of Jhansi in return. But now they have gone far as to insult their own leaders, Sawant said
